Senior Carly Mayhood was named Conference of New England (CNE) pitcher of the week, according to an April 6 announcement by the CNE. The recognition follows her performances during a series against Endicott College and Wentworth Institute of Technology.

Mayhood secured her fifth win this week and helped lead her team to a 3-1 record. Over the course of four games, she pitched a total of 15 innings and recorded 12 strikeouts, finishing with an earned run average (ERA) of 0.00.

The team is scheduled for a doubleheader on Wednesday, April 8 against Eastern Connecticut State. The first game will begin at 3:00 p.m.

The Conference of New England was originally founded in 1984 as the Commonwealth Coast Conference before being reconstituted as the CNE in 2024. It is an NCAA Division III athletic conference with ten full member institutions and five associate members across New England. The conference administers championships in twenty intercollegiate sports.
