Rep. John Larson, currently serving in the U.S. Congress and representing Connecticut’s 1st district, recently shared his views on several topics via social media.
On May 6, 2025, Larson expressed his stance on military service eligibility, criticizing the Trump Administration’s policy: “No one who is qualified to serve should be denied that opportunity because of who they are. The Trump Administration’s trans military ban is simply discrimination.”
Later that day, he acknowledged National Nurses Week by appreciating the contributions of nurses nationwide: “During #NationalNursesWeek, we thank nurses across the nation for all they do to care for their patients and their communities! Our nurses deserve fair pay, benefits, and workplace safety protections.”
On May 7, 2025, Larson reminded travelers about new identification requirements at airports: “Are you REAL ID ready? Starting today, a REAL ID is required at airports nationwide for all adult travelers. You must have a REAL ID-compliant license, a passport, or another accepted form of ID.”
John B. Larson has served in the U.S. Congress since 1999 after succeeding Barbara Kennelly. He previously served in the Connecticut Senate from 1987 to 1995 and graduated from Central Connecticut State University with a BA in 1971.
