There were four gas stations in cities across Hartford County selling midgrade gas at the lowest price of $3.99 per gallon in the week ending Mar. 28, according to customer reports submitted to GasBuddy.

The county registered an average of $4.36 per gallon for midgrade gas.

Hartford County had 123 of 335 reported gas stations offering midgrade gas.

For comparison, the average price of midgrade gas in Connecticut was $4.40 per gallon for the week ending Mar. 28, up from the previous week.

U.S. gas prices continue to decline after reaching their lowest level since 2021, according to GasBuddy. The group projects the national average could dip below $2.80 per gallon during the holiday period, driven by increased oil production and lower seasonal demand.
