John B. Larson, aged 74, has resided in East Hartford, Connecticut since his birth in Hartford in 1948. His educational background includes a BA from Central Connecticut State University, attained in 1971. He took over from Barbara Kennelly as a U.S. Congress member in 1999 after serving in the Connecticut Senate from 1987 to 1995.
