Mr. LARSON of Connecticut. Madam Speaker, I rise today to congratulate Frank Mancini, of Berlin, Connecticut, on his recent selection to the Board of Directors of the National Association of Federally-Insured Credit Unions (NAFCU).
Frank currently serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Connex Credit Union in North Haven, Connecticut. He has over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, including having served as CEO of Connex since 2012, after having served as its Chief Financial Officer since 2003. Under his leadership, Connex has grown in total assets from $378M to $810M over the past eight years. Connex currently ranks as the 5th largest credit union in Connecticut in terms of asset size and 3rd in Connecticut in terms of loan balance.
Frank has served on a number of Boards, including New Haven's Financial Empowerment Commission, Credit Union Executive Society of New England (Board Chair), Connex Insurance Services, Constitution State Corporate Credit Union, the Tax Exempt Proceeds Fund, and the Association for Senior Credit Union Officers. In 2016, he was awarded the Mayor's Community Champion Award for his advocacy efforts in assisting low-income households get increased access to banking services. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from The University of Connecticut in Storrs, Connecticut, and a Master of Business Administration from The University of Connecticut in West Hartford, Connecticut.
Frank has a wealth of financial services and leadership knowledge. His vision and decision-making skills will be a valuable addition to the NAFCU Board and credit unions for years to come.
