The group will discuss Doomsday Book by Connie Willis. Kivrin Engle is a scholar who investigates history by traveling to the places and times she is researching. When she is wrongly sent to the 1340’s during the Black Death, due to a calculation error, an influenza epidemic breaks out in her time, 2054. The story alternates between the future worrying about Kivrin & how Kivrin copes in the Middle Ages.
Written in 1992 the novel won both the Hugo and Nebula Awards.
