Today, Mayor  Luke Bronin announced a multi-year partnership between the City of  Hartford and GoodWorks Entertainment, the owners of Infinity Hall on  Hartford’s Front Street, that will bring nationally-touring musical acts  to Hartford. Called Hartford Live, the music series will provide free  outdoor concerts on Thursday nights at the Old State House lawn from 6  PM to 9 PM. The 2022 iteration of the inaugural Hartford Live series  premieres the first week of August and will run through mid-September.  In addition to live music, each event will feature food trucks, local  vendors, and more.

“We’re thrilled to announce the new Hartford Live music concert  series in partnership with GoodWorks Entertainment - owner and operator  of Infinity Music Hall, bringing a variety of great performances to the  Old Statehouse in downtown on Thursday nights starting in August,” said  Mayor Luke Bronin.  “After two years of pandemic disruptions and closed  offices, the beat is back in Hartford and this new Hartford Live series  is just one more way that we’re building on that energy.  We’re kicking  the series off this year, but it will continue next year and beyond as a  new Hartford summer tradition.”

Hartford Live is an ambitious addition to the city’s ongoing economic  development and activation campaign. As part of the partnership, and in  an effort to support the arts and culture scene as Hartford recovers  from the pandemic, the City of Hartford is supporting the Hartford Live  concert series with American Rescue Plan funds. GoodWorks Entertainment,  a Connecticut-based live entertainment company, owns and operates the  Infinity Hall concert venue on Front Street in downtown Hartford, which  suffered significant financial setbacks amidst the outbreak of COVID-19.  For Hartford Live, the firm has worked to create a musical lineup that  celebrates the richness of culture and diversity in Hartford.

“We are excited to bring a diverse outdoor music experience to the  streets of Hartford.  The goal of this free music series is to bring  excitement and a shared experience for all of the valued communities in  our city,” added GoodWorks and Infinity Hall co-founders Tyler Grill and  Dave Rosenfeld.

Upcoming performers include reggae legend Burning Spear (August 4),  Hartford powerhouse funk octet West End Blend (August 11), and Neighbor  and Neal Francis (August 18). Additional concerts will take place on  August 25th, and September 8th and 15th, with performers to be determined.
