Rep. John Larson, a longstanding member of the U.S. Congress representing Connecticut’s 1st District, took to social media on April 3rd, 2025, criticizing actions taken by the Trump Administration that he believes are detrimental to the American public.
In a tweet sent on April 3, Rep. Larson addressed the economic impact of tariffs: "Trump’s tariffs will raise prices by thousands of dollars for the average family. We're already seeing markets plunge. The Administration needs to come before Congress and explain to the American people how they will be impacted. These tariffs are a tax on YOU!"
Later that day, expressing concern over reproductive health care, he said: "I stand with the reproductive health care providers being targeted by the Trump Administration. @PPSNE serves 48,000 patients annually across our region. Cutting their funding will make it harder for everyone to access birth control, cancer screenings, wellness exams, and more."
In a subsequent tweet on April 3, Rep. Larson condemned a recent administration move regarding transgender veterans: "The Trump Administration's decision to roll back health care access for transgender veterans who served their nation is reckless & cruel. My @EqualityCaucus colleagues and I are urging Secretary Collins to immediately reinstate care for the more than 130,000 impacted veterans."
