67 percent of applicants to Central Connecticut State University were admitted for fall 2018

At Central Connecticut State University, 81 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 53 percent are male, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in New Britain enrolled 11,822 students in fall 2018, including 9,546 in undergraduate and 2,276 in graduate programs, data shows. 10.3 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

94 percent of undergraduates are residents of Connecticut, and 5 percent are residents of other states. 2 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (59 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (16 percent).

The school admitted 67 percent of the 7,903 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 28 percent enrolled.
