71 percent of applicants to the University of Hartford were admitted for fall 2018

At the University of Hartford, 92 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 51 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in West Hartford enrolled 6,770 students in fall 2018, including 5,000 in undergraduate and 1,770 in graduate programs, data shows. 3.6 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

41 percent of undergraduates are residents of Connecticut, and 56 percent are residents of other states. 3 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (52 percent) and Black or African American (15 percent).

The school admitted 71 percent of the 15,166 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 11 percent enrolled.
