Cost of college went up for all students at Trinity College

Tuition and fees rose 3.9 percent for 2018-19 at Trinity College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Connecticut students paid $56,910 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $2,140 more than the $54,770 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 58 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 304 students received grants or scholarships totaling $14.1 million and 265 students took out student loans totaling more than $1.8 million.

Including all undergraduates (2,235), 1,081 students used grants or scholarships totaling $50.9 million, and 295 students took out $1.9 million in federal student loans.
