FOIA Request to Connecticut State Board of Education Regarding Instructional Mandates for State K-12 Schools on December 10, 2024.
In our continued efforts to provide comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at Hartford Reporter have sent a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to the Connecticut State Board of Education. We are seeking a list of all instructional mandates for state K-12 schools, including all required courses and general instruction.
As a media organization committed to holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public, access to these records is essential for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities. Given our role in disseminating information, we believe we are eligible for a fee waiver as media professionals.
