John B. Larson, a long-serving U.S. Congressman representing Connecticut's 1st district, has recently voiced his opinions on various issues through a series of tweets. Known for his advocacy in social and economic matters, Larson continues to address significant policy concerns.

On March 6, 2025, Larson expressed his views on the Social Security system. He stated, "Working Americans pay into #SocialSecurity with each and every paycheck throughout the year – except for the ultra-wealthy, who stop paying today! It’s time to #ScrapTheCap and enhance benefits for everyone for the first time in more than 50 years!"

The following day, March 7, 2025, he shared his opposition to budget cuts proposed by House Republicans under former President Trump. In his tweet, he mentioned attending an event with Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont and Representative Joe Courtney. He criticized the proposed Medicaid cuts stating that "Connecticut is united against their plan to slash health coverage to pay for tax breaks for the wealthy!"

Later that same day, Larson commented on reports involving Elon Musk and Donald Trump regarding potential risks to seniors' benefits due to proposed budget cuts. He tweeted that "'DOGE’ is up to no good...Trump and Musk's proposed cuts are putting seniors' benefits at risk..." and called for transparency from Musk.
