Graduates earn 48 degrees, certificates from Hartford Seminary

About 60.4 percent of the 48 degrees and certificates handed out by Hartford Seminary in 2017-18 were to students in philosophy and religious studies programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Hartford conferred 19 master's degrees and 10 certificates in philosophy and religious studies programs.

But the single most popular program was for a master's degree in religion/religious studies. Data shows the school gave out 19 master's degrees in religion/religious studies, followed by 9 certificates in religion/religious studies and 9 certificates in women's studies.

The seminary enrolled 138 students for 2017-18, all of whom were enrolled in 138 programs.
