City of Bristol Tax Collector, Ann Bednaz announced that in accordance with CT State Statute, Sec. 12-173 liens will be placed on all outstanding real estate taxes for the Grand List 2021. These liens will be placed on the City of Bristol Land Records June 1, 2023. Real Estate taxes became delinquent after February 1, 2023.

Residents are encouraged to visit our website to view taxes and/or make a payment at: www.bristolct.gov, under Citizen Help Center, Pay Online, Tax Payments.

Payments must be made in person, online or by United States Postal Service mail, postmarked no later than May 31, 2023. Please mail payments to the Tax Collector’s Office, P.O. Box 1040, Bristol, CT 06011-1040 or visit us in person at our temporary location 150 Main Street (Webster Bank Building).

If your real estate taxes are not paid but are included in your escrow payment, contact your mortgage company immediately.

When liens are placed on a property, it prevents properties from being transferred or sold. Taxes must also be paid in full before building permits may be issued.
