Rep. John Larson addresses U.S. Navy anniversary and Medicare enrollment updates

Rep. John Larson, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Connecticut’s 1st district since 1999, shared a series of tweets on various topics over several days in October 2024.

On October 13, Rep. Larson commemorated the U.S. Navy's anniversary by acknowledging their long-standing service and dedication to national defense. He tweeted: "For 249 years, the brave men and women of the U.S. Navy have defended our seas, shores, and freedoms courageously. To the @USNavy, happy birthday!"

The following day, October 14, he turned his attention to Native communities' contributions across Connecticut and the nation. In his tweet, he emphasized ongoing support for Indigenous people: "Today and every day, we recognize the contributions that Native communities have made across Connecticut and our entire nation. We remain committed to supporting Indigenous people and connecting them with the resources they need to thrive."

On October 15, Rep. Larson informed constituents about Medicare Open Enrollment for 2025 while highlighting benefits from recent legislation aimed at reducing costs for seniors: "Medicare Open Enrollment has begun! You can shop & compare plans for 2025 at https://t.co/kRKc3Bp0RV or by calling 1-800-633-4227." "Thanks to the Inflation Reduction Act, new savings are available for seniors, like no-cost vaccines and a $2,000 cap on out-of-pocket drug costs."
