Rep. John Larson, who has represented Connecticut's 1st District in the U.S. Congress since 1999, shared a series of messages on social media recently. His comments, spanning sports and politics, provide insights into his diverse interests and ongoing legislative concerns.

On March 28, 2025, Rep. Larson tweeted "Good luck to @UConnWBB at the Sweet Sixteen in Spokane! We’ll be cheering you on as you work to bring home another national title! #BleedBlue " showing his support for the University of Connecticut women's basketball team as they advanced to the Sweet Sixteen in the NCAA tournament.

Later, on March 29, 2025, he addressed a key consumer protection issue, stating "The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau has taken on large corporations to return $21 BILLION back to consumers. @HouseDemocrats filed a brief in court to block Trump and Musk from illegally shutting it down. I'm glad to see a judge step in to stop them." The statement reflects his endorsement of the Bureau's role in returning funds to consumers and his opposition to attempts at its dissolution.

Also on March 29, Representative Larson turned his attention back to basketball, offering congratulations to "Congratulations to the @TrinityCollege men’s basketball team on their first-ever national title! This is an amazing accomplishment, and I look forward to seeing them build on this success " Further reinforcing Connecticut's reputation for sporting excellence, Larson highlighted the achievements of Trinity College's basketball team.
