Rep. John Larson, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Connecticut's 1st district, recently expressed his views on several key issues through a series of tweets. Larson has been active in addressing legislative matters and advocating for policies that impact his constituents and the broader American public.

On October 25, 2024, Larson highlighted concerns regarding Idaho's abortion ban, stating, "Federal law requires access to emergency care, but Idaho's abortion ban restricts it even if a mother's health is at risk." He emphasized that no woman should be denied necessary medical care due to such bans and mentioned his involvement with over 250 Congressional Democrats urging courts to safeguard emergency abortion access.

Later on the same day, Larson urged President Biden to expand healthcare access for DACA recipients under the Affordable Care Act. He announced that nearly 3,000 Dreamers in Connecticut would soon be able to enroll in coverage through Access Health CT, as noted in his tweet: "I urged @POTUS to expand access to health care through the Affordable Care Act for DACA recipients."

On October 28, 2024, Larson commemorated the signing of the Matthew Shepard and James Byrd Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act by President Obama fifteen years ago. In his message, he reiterated his commitment to protecting Americans from hate and violence: "No one should be subject to hate & violence because of who they are or who they love." Larson expressed pride in having voted for this legislation.
