Rep. John Larson discusses workforce opportunities fair and healthcare reforms

On October 31, 2024, Rep. Larson visited the Aerospace Alley Future Workforce Opportunities Fair in Hartford. He expressed enthusiasm about seeing students from across the state pursuing careers in trades alongside over 100 regional manufacturers. He specifically mentioned companies like Jarvis Airfoil from Portland and ACMT from Manchester. "I stopped by the Aerospace Alley Future Workforce Opportunities Fair in Hartford this morning. It was great to see students from across the state pursuing careers in the trades and 100+ of the region's manufacturers, like Jarvis Airfoil from Portland and ACMT from Manchester."

Later that day, Rep. Larson extended Diwali greetings to those celebrating both within Connecticut and globally. He wished for joy and celebration during the Festival of Lights. On November 1, 2024, Rep. Larson visited Parkville Senior Center to discuss Democratic efforts aimed at reducing drug costs and strengthening Social Security. He highlighted Medicare's new ability to negotiate drug prices directly, noting that starting next year, seniors will have a cap on out-of-pocket drug expenses at $2,000 annually. "I visited the Parkville Senior Center today to talk about Democrats' efforts to lower drug costs & strengthen Social Security. We empowered Medicare to directly negotiate drug prices, and starting next year, no senior will pay more than $2,000/year in out-of-pocket drug costs!"
