Rep. John Larson, currently serving in the U.S. Congress and representing Connecticut’s 1st district since 1999, recently shared a series of tweets covering various topics. The tweets range from cultural celebrations to community engagement and healthcare updates.

On November 1, 2024, Rep. Larson acknowledged the cultural significance of el Día de los Muertos by expressing his thoughts on this day dedicated to honoring deceased loved ones. He remarked that it should be a time for "remembrance and reflection" for those celebrating in Connecticut and globally. "On el Día de los Muertos, we honor the memory of our loved ones who are no longer with us. May this be a time of remembrance and reflection for everyone celebrating in Connecticut and around the world."

Later that same day, Larson visited the L.P. Wilson Community Center to engage with residents about ongoing efforts to reduce costs and support local initiatives in Windsor, Connecticut. He highlighted financial contributions totaling nearly $26 million aimed at improving public housing and assisting small businesses in the area. "I stopped by the L.P. Wilson Community Center today to hear from residents and discuss some of the work we're doing to lower costs and support Windsor." He further mentioned that these funds would enhance public housing facilities and provide aid to small enterprises.

On November 2, 2024, Larson reminded constituents about open enrollment for health care plans for 2025. He provided resources for plan shopping online or via phone assistance while noting that since passing the Affordable Care Act, an additional 50 million people have gained coverage leading to historically low uninsured rates."Open enrollment for a 2025 health care plan is happening now."
