Rep. John Larson, a long-serving member of the U.S. Congress representing Connecticut’s 1st district, recently shared several updates on social media concerning legislative achievements and public service announcements.

On November 4, 2024, Rep. Larson highlighted the passage of the Inflation Reduction Act aimed at reducing healthcare costs for seniors. He stated: "We passed the Inflation Reduction Act to cap insulin at $35/month for seniors. No one should have to choose between lifesaving medicine or putting food on the table. That's why we are working to lower the cost of care & medication for Americans with diabetes!"

The following day, November 5, 2024, Rep. Larson reminded constituents about their voting rights as Election Day commenced: "Today is Election Day! Polls are open from 6 AM to 8 PM. If you’re in line by 8, stay in line. To find your polling location or for information on same-day registration, visit https://t.co/3e5m4oIvs6. Make your voice heard!"

Later that day, he expressed gratitude towards law enforcement for maintaining safety amid potential threats: "I am grateful for the swift action of the U.S. Capitol Police as they work to keep staff and visitors safe today and every day. Threats to our democracy will not stand, especially on Election Day."
