Rep. John Larson, a longstanding member of the U.S. Congress representing Connecticut’s 1st district, has shared several updates on social media regarding his commitments and legislative actions. His recent tweets cover topics such as Veterans Day, healthcare costs for seniors, and Social Security.

On November 11, 2024, Rep. Larson acknowledged the sacrifices made by veterans in a tweet marking Veterans Day. He stated: "This Veterans Day, we all express our gratitude to the veterans who have sacrificed so much for our country and the freedoms we hold dear. In Congress, I am committed to supporting veterans, service members, and military families with action."

Two days later, on November 13, 2024, he addressed healthcare cost reductions for seniors in another tweet: "Democrats capped the price of insulin at $35/month for seniors, and starting next year, no one on Medicare will pay more than $2,000 in out-of-pocket drug costs. Now is the time to review your coverage to ensure your plan covers the prescriptions you need."

Later that day on November 13th, Rep. Larson tweeted about his participation in discussions with @activeretirees regarding Social Security: "Glad to be with @activeretirees today to discuss the path forward in the fight to enhance Social Security! Together, we will continue to safeguard Americans’ hard-earned benefits and defeat plans to cut Medicare or Social Security so our seniors can retire with dignity."
