Rep. John Larson, a long-serving member of the U.S. Congress representing Connecticut's 1st district, has recently shared several statements on social media regarding economic policy, educational resources, and historical reflection.

On November 21, 2024, Rep. Larson expressed concern over potential economic impacts of tariffs proposed by the President-elect. He stated that "The President-elect's tariffs could hike the average family's costs by $3,900/year." In response to this issue, he announced collaboration with Rep. DelBene to introduce legislation aimed at preventing the misuse of tariff powers which could lead to increased consumer prices.

The following day, on November 22, 2024, Rep. Larson addressed high school seniors and their parents regarding financial aid for higher education. He informed them that "The 2025-2026 @FAFSA form is now open." He provided resources for filing student aid applications and offered assistance through a dedicated helpline.

Later on November 22, Rep. Larson reflected on the legacy of former President John F. Kennedy. He noted that "John F. Kennedy’s legacy lives on as a president of incomparable grace, dignity, wit, and vision." Despite acknowledging the infamy associated with November 22nd due to Kennedy's assassination, Larson emphasized the enduring impact of Kennedy's spirit and inspirational leadership.
