On February 7, 2025, Rep. Larson announced that the House Democrats, including the entire Connecticut delegation, introduced the Taxpayer Data Protection Act aimed at preventing Elon Musk and his DOGE from accessing sensitive personal information. He called for bipartisan support by stating: "Today, @HouseDemocrats, including the entire CT delegation, introduced the Taxpayer Data Protection Act to block Elon Musk and his DOGE from accessing sensitive personal information. Republicans: join us so Congress can act to protect Americans' privacy!"

Later that day, he expressed satisfaction after meeting with Hartford Communities That Care to discuss their initiatives against gun violence and substance abuse. He emphasized youth engagement in these issues and continued collaboration with local communities: "I was glad to meet with Hartford Communities That Care to discuss their work to prevent gun violence and substance abuse. It’s critical for our youth to stay engaged on the issues, and we will continue to work together to deliver for our community."

In another post on February 7th, Rep. Larson voiced concerns about privacy invasion by Elon Musk's entities regarding access to personal data. He urged action from the U.S Treasury Department while inviting public opinion through a survey: "Musk and his DOGE cronies should not have access to your personal information. I’m demanding answers from @USTreasury about this invasion of privacy. Do you think Musk should have access to your data? Take my survey!"
