Rep. John Larson, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Connecticut's 1st district, has recently shared several statements via social media addressing various issues of public concern. On February 12, 2025, Larson made comments regarding legislative matters and local engagements with first responders.

On February 12, 2025, Rep. John Larson expressed his concerns about the actions taken by members of the Ways and Means Committee. He stated: "NOW: Every Republican on the Ways and Means Committee BLOCKED @RepThompson and @RepJudyChu's amendment to protect your personal information from the unelected, unaccountable billionaire Elon Musk and his 'DOGE.' We won't give up the fight for transparency & accountability!"

Later that day, Larson further criticized Elon Musk's influence in governmental affairs. He remarked: "No one elected Elon Musk to dictate how government is run for the rest of us. Now, we’re learning Musk & his DOGE cronies have their sights set on Social Security. No one’s privacy should be exposed and no one’s benefits should be cut by an unelected, unaccountable billionaire!"

Additionally, Rep. Larson highlighted his engagement with local firefighters in a separate post on February 12, 2025. He stated: "Glad to meet with firefighters from across my district to discuss how we can work together to support our first responders. Our firefighters work hard every day to keep our communities safe, and I am committed to making sure they have the resources they need."
